Kathy Kay “Nana” Brunty
Of Lorado, WV
Kathy Kay “Nana” Brunty, of Lorado, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at CAMC-General Division, after a short illness.
She was born on October 2, 1953, at Madison, the daughter of the late Billy and Beatrice (Powell) Jeffrey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Steven Jeffrey; and two sisters, Marsha Vanover and Robin Jeffrey Blankenship.
Kathy loved to spend time with her friends and family, fishing, and playing games on her computer. She was very much a social butterfly and enjoyed being out and helping others.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Raichelle Brunty of Lorado; two grandchildren, Tiffany (Aaron) Casey of St. Albans and Tra Traylor of Lorado; two great-grandchildren, Lyric Casey and Aria Casey; one brother, Stanley Jeffrey of Mullens; one special nephew, Gary “Bubby” Blankenship II of NC; two special great-nephews, Jason Mills II of Crown and Timothy Shuler II of Dixie; along with other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Lundale Freewill Baptist Church.
In honor of Kathy’s wishes her remains have been cremated.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home, 115 Market St., Man, WV 25635 Phone: 304-583-6582 to help with funeral expenses.
