Obituary of Exel Terry Lusk

Exel Terry Lusk of Cyclone, WV Terry Lusk, 77, of Cyclone went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 19, 2015, leaving from Cabell-Huntington Hospital following a short illness. He was born June 21, 1937, at Cyclone, a son of the late Marvin and Winnie Brown Lusk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Pearl Workman Lusk; one daughter, Kathy Sams; one granddaughter, Anna Paynter; four brothers, Audford, Travis, Sebert, and Earless Lusk; and three sons-in-law, Forrest Sams, Richard Paynter, and Robert Tilley. Mr. Lusk was a disabled coal miner formerly employed at Eastern Associated Coal Corp.'s Kopperston # 1 Mine. He was a life long resident of Wyoming County. Terry was an avid Atlanta Brave's fan and his favorite hobbies were hunting and camping. He was a member of the Cyclone Church of God and also attended the Bright Prospect Missionary Baptist Church. Terry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Those left to cherish his memory are six children, Terri Sams at home, Mickey (Patsy) Lusk, Margie (Lonnie) Boothe, Kathleen Tilley, and Rodney (Wanda) Lusk, all of Cyclone, and Anna (Jerry) Lusk of Princeton; three brothers, Larry (Patsy) Lusk, Argel (Sharon) Lusk, and Jackie (Lessie) Lusk, all of Cyclone; two sisters, Wanda (Harmon) Bailey and Susie Brown, both of Cyclone; 12 grandchildren, Aaron, Tina, Henry, Ronnie, Lane, Ben, Eric, Rocky, Marshella, Rolo, Kyleisha, and Cheyanna; and 17 great-grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at the Bright Prospect Missionary Baptist Church at Main Huff Creek with Rev. Ricky Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in Brown's Cemetery at Cyclone. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the church and one hour prior to services at the church also. Grandsons will be pall bearers.
