Obituary of Brody Lee Harvey

Brody Lee Harvey, devoted husband, father, and friend to many, passed away on April 10th, 2023 peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends, at the age of 23. He was born on July 07, 1999 in Logan, the son of Brian and Robin Harvey of Bruno. Brody was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Brian Allen Harvey and his paternal grandmother, Carolyn Harvey. He was a 2017 graduate of Man High School where he played baseball. While at Man Middle School he played football and basketball for the Pioneers. Brody was a proud Coal miner and was employed at Ramaco Resources. Brody loved to hunt, fish, ride motorcycles and the side by side with his son Landon. During the summer, he loved to host family cookouts. He was the grill master and was famous for his grilled chicken legs. The beach was his favorite place to visit. He looked forward to eating crab legs, one of his favorite meals. Brody was a proud loving father to his son Landon, the light of his life. They took daily drives “train hunting”. You did not have to be close to him to know his wife Megan, son Landon, and family were his world. Brody could lighten up any room. His smile was contagious and he loved to make people laugh. Those left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, his wife Megan Diana Harvey (McDaniels); his son Landon Reid Harvey, His and Landon’s cat, “Kitty Pooh” and dog “Cookie”; his parents, Brian and Robin Harvey, of Bruno, WV; Grandfather Larry Harvey; Grandparents, Gerald and Brenda Carter, Grandmother, Dottie (Cline) Carter, John Paul Allen, a special brother Zac (Kendyl) Harvey as well as his niece Kennedy Harvey, nephews Carter Harvey, and Asher Harvey; In-Laws Tonya and Darren McDaniels, Michaela McDaniels, Darren Shane McDaniels, Jonah McDaniels, an nephew Caiden Brooks; A special uncle and Aunt Ray Bob and Judy Carter; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that were very close to Brody. Pallbearers will be Kirkland Willard, Braxton Brown, Jack Stowers, T.J. Williamson, Jackson Porter, and Zac Harvey.
