Obituary of Calvin Robinson

Calvin Robinson of Elyria, OH Calvin Robinson, 70, of Elyria, OH formerly of the Man area, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 10, 2015, leaving from Louis Stokes VA Medical Center at Cleveland, OH, after a long illness. He was born July 27, 1944, at Wheelright, KY, the son of the late Jim and Callie Elizabeth Mollett Robinson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Collins Robinson; one brother, Jerry Robinson; and two sisters, Ann Trogdon and Geraldine Bunch. Calvin was an Army veteran. After leaving the Army, he worked for Republic Steel, Inc. for 32 years. Calvin enjoyed sports, reading, and spending time with his two grandsons. Those left to cherish his memory are one son David (Debbie) Robinson of Elyria, OH; two grandsons, Mason and Tyler Robinson of Elyria, OH; two sisters, Delores Johnston of Beckley, WV and Sue (Kenneth) Bragg of Robinette, WV; one brother, Jimmy (Joyce) Robinson of Bluefield, VA; and many dear nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with David Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill where military graveside rites will be observed. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services at the funeral home also. Online condolences may be sent to the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
