Obituary of Sandra Dawn Gollihue

Sandra Dawn Gollihue of Kistler, WV Sandra Dawn Gollihue, 40, of Kistler, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 11, 2015, leaving from her home, after a courageous and well fought battle with cancer. She was born on June 4, 1975, at Logan, the daughter of Helen "Sue" Gollihue of Kistler and the late Peter H. Gollihue. Sandy was a loving and caring woman who went out of her way to serve those around her in need. She enjoyed life, making friends where ever she went and always putting a smile on the face of those that she was around. She was a loyal and faithful daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed by all. Romans 8:37-39 KJV Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her mother, are one sister, Christa Gollihue Vance of Kistler; two brothers, Peter (Shawnna) Gollihue of Davin and Mark (Ashley) Gollihue of Pineville, KY; four nieces, Emilie Vance, Tiffany Vance, Maci Gollihue, and Amy Keck; one nephew, Michael Keck; two special friends, Gary Hatfield and Mandy Cantrell, both of Bruno; and her faithful canine companion, Charlie; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015, at the Man Church of God where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:30 P.M. with Rev. Peter Gollihue officiating. Sandy will be laid to rest at 10:00 a.m. Sunday at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
