Obituary of Danny Ray McCoy

Danny Ray McCoy of Madison Creek, WV Danny Ray McCoy, 59, of Madison Creek, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 3, 2023, leaving from his home, after a long illness. He was born March 20, 1963, at Man, the son of the late Clyde and Martha Elizabeth (Gillispie) McCoy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Dewey McCoy, Alvin McCoy, and Richard McCoy; and sisters, Virginia Sue McNeely and Carol Rose Burton; one sister-in-laws, Diana McCoy and Jeannie McCoy; and two brothers-in-law, William Jennings Spears, and William Earnest Shawver. Danny was a general laborer in the construction industry. He enjoyed tinkering with mechanical items, traveling, watching westerns, and going to church when he was able. Those left to cherish his memory are three brothers, Ricky McCoy with whom he made his home, David McCoy and Paul (Linda) McCoy, both of Holden; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Workman of Omar and Alice Marie Shawver of Whitman; Sister-in-Law, Brenda McCoy of Madison Creek, along with many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Danny Maynard, Billy Brown, Caleb Brown, Pug Morgan, Seth Williamson, and Alan McCoy.
