Obituary of Kerry Allen Standifur

Kerry Allen Standifur, of Accoville, WV, departed this life following a long series of illnesses on December 18, 2022 at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, WV. He was born on July 15, 1972 in Man, WV to parents Donald Bruce and Loretta Lou (Dillon) Standifur. In addition to his parents Kerry was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Zack and Mabel (Potter) Standifur, and Maternal grandparents Julian Parrish and Virginia (Clark) Dillon. Kerry was a 1990 graduate of Man high School. He went on to obtain an Associates degree in Communications from Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College. He was also a member of the Lions Club. He enjoyed playing chess on the computer and social networking on Facebook to keep up with family and friends. He enjoyed Making paracord bracelets and what-knots. He was a HUGE Lynyrd Skynyrd fan. Those left to cherish Kerry’s memory are; one brother Kevin Standifur and his wife Donna of Princeton, and one sister Kimberly Mitchell of Justice, WV; loving Aunts, Janice Bryan of Charlestown, and Jean Mearns of Beckley; cousin and very special friend, Bucky Mosley; special care givers Pam Smith of Cyclone, and Karen Blankenship Story of Kistler; along with a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. A memorial Service to Honor Kerry’s Life will be held Tuesday December 27, 2022 at the Krantz McNeely Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Trish Standifur officiating, and song selections by David Burgess. Friends and family will be received beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Krantz McNeely Funeral Home, Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
