Obituary of Peggy Sue Hale

Peggy Sue Hale, 62, of Verdunville, formerly of Buffalo Creek, passed away on December 19, 2022, at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, after a short illness. She was born on February 15, 1960 in Chicago, IL, a daughter of the late Roy and Eurie (Slone) Daniels. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, John Hatfield; and her brother, Danny “Wong” Daniels; one brother in law Clifton Tomblin. Peggy was a home maker. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Peggy enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband Gordon. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 16 years, Gordon Lee Hale III; two children, Misty Hatfield of NC and Kevin Hatfield of Buffalo Creek; eight precious grandchildren, Dalton, Colin, Harley, Shane, Kelsie, Tyler, Elizabeth, and Grace; one sister, Nyoka Tomblin of Lorado; Hubert Daniels and his wife Pat of Lorado, Joe Daniels and the love of his life Elizabeth Lusk of Stowe, and Floyd Daniels and his wife Wendi of Braeholm; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the Becco United Baptist Church at Becco. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Becco United Baptist Church with Rev. P.J. Tomblin officiating. Burial will follow at Home Sweet Home Cemetery at Lorado.
