Obituary of Rayna Leah Criswell

Rayna Leah Criswell, 76, of Robinette went on to be with the Lord November 18, 2022, after an extended illness.
She was born on July 5, 1946 at Rum Creek, the daughter of the late Truman and Dorothy (Chambers) Sluss.
In addition to her parents, Rayna was preceded in death by three brothers, Mitch, Kenny, and Greg Sluss; one son Charles Daniel Criswell, and one infant grandson, Zachary Robert Rogers.
Rayna was a 1964 graduate of Logan High School. She operated her own custodial service for 17 years working for Pittston Coal Company. She enjoyed going to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee as well as Emerald Island in North Carolina. She attended Robinette Church of God when she was able. She loved spending quality time with her family. Her most favorite past time was sitting on her porch swinging. She enjoyed collecting Fenton and Blinko glassware.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 57 years, Charles Criswell of Robinette; one daughter Sherry and her husband Kevin Rogers of Mallory; four grandchildren Dannyell and her husband Christopher Locander of IN, Justin and his wife Hope Rogers of Spice creek, Ryan and his wife Kristen Rogers of Mallory, and Trace Daniel Criswell of Charleston; Two step-grandchildren Madyson and her husband Zack Robinson of Kistler, and Brooklyn Adams of Charleston; great-grandchildren Brylie and Kylah Rogers of Mallory, Kelly, Annabell, and Charlie Locander of IN, due any day, Jailah Rogers of Mallory; Two brothers David and his wife Lois Sluss of Rum Creek, Sam Sluss of N.C; a very special friend Merle Rakes of Nellis, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
The Family would like to thank all of the staff at Fresenius dialysis in Oceana.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Robinette Church of God.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Robinette Church of God with Rev. Bobby Adkins officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Memory Garden Cemetery at Godby.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
