Obituary of Paul David Dials

Paul David Dials, 49, of Verner, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 6, 2022, leaving from Pikeville Medical Center after a sudden illness.
He was born on August 22, 1973, at Prestonsburg, KY, the son of the late Paul Dials and Sharon Jenine (Dalton) Dials of Logan.
In addition to his Father he was preceded in death by one brother Dwayne “Tex” Dials.
Paul loved motorcycles; specifically his Road King Special, Limited Edition and he meticulously planned every road trip adventure with his soul mate Angie. He enjoyed teaching and helping others, challenging himself to be better than the day before and showing his love for his family and friends through action.
He was a Telecommunications O.S.P. supervisor with Optimum where he took great pride in his work and relationships with his co-workers using 30 plus years of experience. Paul put his heart in to everything he did and all who knew him loved him.
Those left to cherish Paul’s memory are his loving wife of 23 years, Angela (Thomas) Dials of Verner; one daughter, Allison Sue and her husband Jared Michael Jones of Ft. Worth, TX; one grandson, Matthew Ian Jones; his mother, Sharon Jenine Dials of Logan; one sister, Jenine Dials of Logan; a very special aunt, Cindy and her husband Clinton Winter of Florida, one uncle Danny Dalton of Warfield KY; a very special father-in-law, Eli Thomas; brothers-in-law, Eli M. and his wife Tina Thomas and Eric Thomas, both of Verner, and Dereck and his wife Heather Thomas of Chapmanville; special nieces and nephews; Isaiah Paul Jordan, Ike Thomas, Rebecca Thomas, James Thomas, Sam Thomas, Jadyn Thomas, Rylee Thomas, Caden Thomas, Vanessa Thomas, and Chloe Thomas; along with a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held after 6:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2022, at Verner Community Church at Verner.
A celebration of Paul's life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022, with Rev. Walter Grimmett officiating. Burial will follow at the Dye Cemetery at Verner.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Adkins, Ronnie Tomblin, Eddie Perry, Evan George, Nathaniel Workman, Dereck Thomas, and Raymond Dotson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Cole and Jared Jones.
