Boyce Paul Brown
of South Shore, KY
Boyce Paul "Butch" Brown, 62, of South Shore, KY, formerly of Davin, WV, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, following a lingering illness.
He was born on June 28, 1952, in Logan County, WV, a son of the late Edward "Red" and Ruby Lafferty Brown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Jean Hubbard, Margie Sada Browning, and Glenda Gale Brown; and three brothers, Clell Harlen Brown, Richard Ray Brown, and Fred Brown.
Boyce was a coal miner and worked for Powellton Coal Company in WV and Chase Brass in OH before becoming disabled.
He enjoyed his family time with all of his family, especially his wife, children, and grandchildren who were extra special to him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pansy Adams Brown; one daughter, Margaret Gail Brown Kelly and Kenny Compton; one son, Boyce Paul "Shorty" and Cynthia Ann Pritchard Brown; and three grandchildren, Patrick Kelly, Breanna Brown, and Chase Compton, all of South Shore; two sisters, Darlene (John) Tiller of Davin, WV and Lois (Joel) Buza of Wilmington, IL; three brothers, Edward Lavy Brown of Pioneer, OH, Richard Ray "Richie" (Sarah) Brown and Lincoln Mark (Rhoda) Brown, both of Davin, WV; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend he thought of as a son, David Salyers of NC.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2015, at the Davin Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the Davin Baptist Church and one hour prior to services at the church also.
Pall bearers will be Harold Adams, Kenny Compton, Benjamin Baldridge, James Baldridge, David Salyers, Jeremy Mandat, Adam Brown, Robert Buza.
Honorary pall bearers will be Freddie Tiller and Boyce Tiller.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
