Obituary of David Lee Lively

David Lee “Porky” Lively of Mallory, WV David Lee “Porky” Lively, 56, of Mallory, departed this life on Monday, July 25, 2022, at Logan Regional Medical Center, after a sudden illness. He was born on September 29, 1965, at Man, the son of the late Arnold Robert and Barbara Jean (Plymale) Lively. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ashley Nicole Lively. David was a 1983 graduate of Belfry High School at Belfry, KY. After graduation he worked as a mechanic for Jack and Darren McDaniels for 18 years. After he obtained his Commercial Drivers License (CDL) he began working for Rick and Jim Grimmett driving a coal truck for 18 years. Porky enjoyed fishing, Hot Rods, and car shows. He never met a stranger and could talk for hours about anything. Those left to cherish his memory are his life companion of 21 years, Dreama Kovach; his children, Katelyn Lively and her fiancé Michael Perry of Davin, Gregory Steven Kovach, and Amber Kaye Kovach, both of Mallory; three grandchildren, Kaylee Julious, Derek Julious, and Joshua Lively, all of Davin; brothers and sisters, Bobby (Kimberly) Lively of Matheny, Arnold Ray Lively, and Melissa Sue Lively Nau, both of Sidney, Ky; many nieces, nephews, and cousins along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m until 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2022, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. Roland Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
