Obituary of Faye Jean Powers

Faye Jean Powers of Greenville, WV Faye Jean Powers, 90, of Greenville, WV, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 17, 2022. She was born on April 9, 1932, at Greenville, the daughter of the late James Pat and Ada Belle (Grimmett) Glenn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Rev. Elmer B. Powers; two sons, Timothy Powers and Danny Powers; and one daughter, Dona Blankenship; along with all of her brothers and sisters. Faye was a home maker and loved having her family together and visiting with her grandkids. She truly enjoyed the Saturday get-together dinners with her family. Those left to cherish her memory are five children, JoAnn (Frank) Carr of VA, Stanley (Francis) Powers of Cyclone, Ricky Powers of Welch, Don Powers of Greenville, Man, Lesley Powers of Wytheville, VA, and Shawn (Mark) Rush of Greenville, Man; 23 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Greenville Freewill Baptist Church at Greenville, Man and one hour prior to services on Friday. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 Noon Friday, July 22, 2022, at the Greenville Freewill Baptist Church at Greenville, Man with Rev. Walter Grimmett and Rev. Clarence Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Pallbearers will be Joey Cline, Chris Cline, Logan Allen, Stanley Powers, Greg Crouse, and John Powers. Honorary pallbearers will be Timmy Powers and Don Powers.
