Kayla Danielle Clay Ellis, 29, of Lorado, departed this life on Monday, April 11, 2022, at Pikeville Medical Center at Pikeville, KY, after a sudden illness.
She was born on June 4, 1992, at Logan, the daughter of Tabetha Ann Siffles of Lorado and the late Michael David Clay.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shane Ellis; her grandmother, Anna Meade; her grandfather, Hascal Clay; two uncles, Roger Ray Siffles and Ronald Siffles; and a close cousin, Misty Napier.
Kayla was a home maker and a loving mother. She enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends. Kayla will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Dominic Cain Ellis of Kistler; her mother, Tabetha Ann Siffles of Lorado; two brothers, Christopher (Paula) Clay of Videsta, GA and Scott Earnest of Hunt; two sisters, Beth Earnest of Chapmanville and Michelle Francis of Charleston; four nieces, and three nephews; her grandfather, Alfred Trent of Hunt; her uncles who were like her brothers, Dewey Trent, Davey Trent, and Nathan Meade; and her boyfriend, Paul Cantrell of Kistler; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
