Rev. Eddie Isom
of Lorado, WV
Pastor Eddie Isom, 64, of Lorado, was welcomed into Heaven by family and the Saints of God on Sunday, March 13th, 2022. He departed this life from the University of Kentucky Medical Center after a courageous battle with a long illness.
He was born May 29th, 1957, in Man, West Virginia, the son of the late James and Ruth Isom.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth Marie Isom; two brothers Harold and his wife Wilma Isom, and Eugene Isom; and one sister, Evelyn Isom.
Eddie was an ordained minister through the Freewill Baptist Organization. He spent his early life as a coal miner and a carpenter, until later retiring as a bus driver from the Logan County Board of Education. Eddie lived his life with the passion to serve God putting him first and foremost in everything.
A husband, dad, pawpaw, brother, and uncle, who loved his family unconditionally. Eddie was a very humble man, with a contagious smile that would brighten any room. He enjoyed spending time with his family and going to church, He liked watching gospel programs, The Andy Griffith Show, and Westerns. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing for the Lord. He had a positive impact on a lot of lives and will be greatly missed by many.
Those left to cherish his precious memory are his loving wife of 44 years, Sharon Isom; two sons, Jonathan and his wife Deedee Isom and Rev. Tim and his wife Taylor Isom; three daughters, Mandy, Karmanie, and Bobbie; a brother, Michael Isom; three sisters, Carolyn Prince, Janice and her husband Mark Bowens, and Kathy and her husband Keith Osborne; four grandchildren, Mason, Brooklyn, Levi, and Waylon; along with a host of family and friends. Eddie had a special place in his heart for his church family loving each and everyone of them dearly.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 17th, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Isom, Rev. Billy Ray Gibson, and Rev. Jack Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Peck Mill.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday prior to his funeral services at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel in Man also.
Pallbearers will be; Sam Prince, Daniel Bowens, Stephen Isom, James Prince, Justin Gibson, Theo Cooper, Ronnie Morgan, and Ray Cline.
Honorary Pallbearers will be; Michael Isom, Mark Bowens, Eddie Urconis, Jimmy Adkins, Larry Ellison, Rev. P.J. Tomblin, and Jay Walls.
