Linda Lee Dotson Caldwell
of Cyclone, WV
Linda Lee Dotson Caldwell, 68, of Cyclone, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 25, 2021, leaving from Lincoln Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hamlin.
She was born on April 7, 1953, in Logan County, the daughter of the late Joseph “Buddy” and Dixie “Irene" Dotson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years J.C. Caldwell; and one son, John Thomas Caldwell.
Linda was a home maker and a loving mother and friend to many. She was a member of Campus Church of God for over 35 years. Linda loved to work in the church and helped establish the church pantry known as the “Helping Hands Ministry”. She loved to help those in need and the less fortunate.
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Regina Frye and her companion Mark Hager of Cyclone and Alisha Clay of Cyclone and her companion Leroy Sharp of Kistler; one son, Michael Caldwell of Cyclone; five grandchildren, Zachary Frye, Jordan Frye, Nicholas Clay, Allison Clay, and Amberlyn Caldwell, all of Cyclone; one great-granddaughter, Everleigh Grace Frye; four sisters, Sue Presley of Huntington, Deborah Mosley of Branchland, Lora Moore of West Hamlin, and Sandra “Kay” Caldwell of Cyclone; two brothers, Steve and John Dotson of Huntington; a special Aunt Opal Hall of OH; and a special nephew, Justin Presley of Huntington; many nieces and nephews; and countless great-nieces and great-nephews along with a host of other friends and relatives.
Linda will be reunited with her loving husband J. C. Caldwell who passed away September 15, 2021 in a double memorial service that will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the Campus Church of God with Rev. William Runyon officiating.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church also.
In honor of Linda’s wishes her remains have been cremated.
