Obituary of Kenneth Edward Grimmett

Kenneth Edward “Kenny” Grimmett of Bruno, WV Kenneth Edward “Kenny” Grimmett, 72, of Bruno, went home to be with his Jesus on Thursday, November 25, 2021, departing from CAMC-Memorial Division. He was born on May 23, 1949, at Man, the son of the late Ross and Effie Grimmett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. Kenny was a dedicated Christian who attended Bruno Church of God. He enjoyed watching Westerns and was an avid telephone talker. When he was able, Kenny loved to build things. Devoted to his family, Kenny loved to spend time with all of them. Those left to cherish his memory are his soul mate of 27 years, Annette Lynn Grimmett; two daughters, Tonda Knobling and her husband Michael of Newport News, Va and Jennifer Boggess and her husband Christopher of St. Albans; two sons, Kenneth “Bub” Grimmett of Norfolk, VA and Joseph Lafferty of Glen Fork; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Whitney, Harley, Destiny, Summer, Gunnar, and Paige; one great-grandson, Christian; four sisters-in-law that he loved dearly, Betty, Eva, Gay, and Becky; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2021, at the Bruno Church of God at Bruno. A Celebration of Kenny’s Life will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Bruno Church of God with Rev. Roger Frye officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
