Janet Rose Browning
of Crites, WV
Janet Rose Browning, 56, of Crites, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center, after a long illness.
She was born June 16, 1958, at Man, the daughter of the late Walker Bud and Helen Rebecca Workman Gibson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cletis Browning; and son-in-law, Clinton Osborne.
A loving sister, mother, and grandmother, Janet was a member of the Curtis Missionary Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Ronnie Lee (Alice) McClanahan of Dille; Walker Ray McClanahan of Crites; one daughter, Angela India (Timothy) Johnson of Columbus, OH; two brothers, Rodney (JoAnn) Gibson and Walker (Sara) Gibson, both of Lundale; seven sisters, Diana (Bill) Toler of Yolyn, Nancy (Charles) Osborne of Beckley, Kim (Randall) Osborne of Lorado, Dana (Randall) Adkins of Stollings, Tressa (Sam) Collins of Martinsburg, Judy Osborne of Accoville, and Lisa (Frank) Fargo of Charlestown; six grandchildren, Mia McClanahan, Charles McClanahan, Joyanna McClanahan, Jaelyn McClanahan, Walker McClanahan, and Timothy Johnson, Jr.; a very special friend, Vickie Toler of Robinette; many nieces, nephews, and cousins along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015, at the Curtis Missionary Baptist Church at Curtis with Rev. Danny Thomas and Rev. Baxter Toler officiating. Burial will follow in the Daniels Cemetery at Curtis.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the church and one hour prior to services also.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
