Mildred Luvurne Adkins
of Accoville, WV
Mildred Luvurne Adkins, 64, of Accoville, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, October 2, 2021, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan.
She was born on May 15, 1957, at Man, she was the daughter of the late George Kas and Louise (Bowling) Kilgore.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Lee Adkins, Jr.; three sisters, Linda Stepp, Ella Newsome, and Fredia Browning; three brothers, Bernie Kilgore, Lester Kilgore, and George Kilgore; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Mildred loved fishing, spending time with her family, and going to church. She was a member of the Lundale Free Will Baptist Church at Lundale.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Ricky Lee Adkins of Accoville; two daughters, Linda Jean Casey of Accoville and her fiancé Anthony Swofford of KY and Misty Lynn (William) Demuth of Lyburn; three sisters, Ann (Rev. David) Gibson of Latrobe, Phyllis Clark and her companion David of Corbin, KY, and Darlene (Ballard) Walls of Crown; three brothers, Benny (Joan) Kilgore of KY, James (Ruth) Kilgore of KY, and Eddie (Drema) Kilgore of Ritchie County; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; a very special friend, Alice Mitchell of Accoville; along with a host of other relatives, her church family at Lundale Free Will Baptist Church, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lundale Free Will Baptist Church at Lundale.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021, at the Lundale Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Pallbearers will be Clifford Casey, Jr., William Demuth, Tony Swofford, Roger Gibson, Chris Hensley, Chris McKinney, and Josh Evans.
