Sara Lilian Corns Curtis
Of Orlando, FL formerly of Davin, WV
Sara Lilian Corns Curtis, 91, of Orlando FL, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2021, after a brief illness.
She was born on July 24, 1930, in Davin, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Clyde Leonard and Ocie Dempsey Corns.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four siblings: Naomi Harless, Bernard Corns, Mary Cobb, and Marilyn Collins.
Sara was a 1948 graduate of Man High School. She married Charlie Curtis of Man West Virginia. They moved to Chicago, Illinois where they raised their family. They divorced in 1978.
Sara moved back to West Virginia but eventually settled in Orland FL to be closer to her children. Sara loved her family. She was especially close with her sisters and missed them deeply after their passing. Sara was incredibly caring and kind. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. Anyone who knew her loved her laugh. When she and her sisters were together, everyone would laugh and have a great time.
Those left to cherish her memory are four children, Beverly Curtis of Orlando, FL, Wendy Cox of Idaho Falls, ID, Mike Curtis of Orlando, FL and Charles Curtis of Orlando, FL; ten grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law William Cobb, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel in Man.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel in Man. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
