Anna Sue Parsons Marsh
of Man, WV
Anna Sue Parsons Marsh, 80, of Man, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 25, 2021, leaving from her son Mike’s house while under hospice care.
She was born on August 16, 1940, in Wayne County, the daughter of the late Rev. Andrew Parsons and Lucille Belcher Parsons.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dale Marsh; one son, Kenneth Ray Runyon; one granddaughter, Brandy Jo Doris Long; three sisters, Joyce Carol Grimmette, Lorene Pearl Sigman, and infant sister Priscilla Parsons; and three brothers, Andrew Vernon Parsons, James Bernie Parsons, and Rev. Dennis Ray Parsons.
Anna was a receptionist who retired from Walker Machinery. She was a wonderful mother to her children and mothered those she worked with at Walker Machinery as well. Anna was a loving grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She loved to cook for her family as well as her co-workers.
Those left to cherish her memory are five children, Rev. William “Bill” Franklin Runyon, Jr. and his wife Rena of Scott Depot, Gary Len Runyon and his wife Joyce of Wilmington, NC, Lisa Ann Runyon Dickerson and her husband Mike and Steven Michael Runyon and his wife Kandis, all of Clayton, NC, and Angela Leigh Runyon Collins and her husband Josh of Greenville; her daughter-in-law, Lisa Marie Runyon of Clayton, NC; one step-son, Richard Lee Marsh and his wife Ginger of Martinsburg WV; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Peggy Lou Parsons Yeauger and her husband Barry of Cheshire, OH; one brother, Rev. Jack Parsons and his wife Lisa of Gallipolis, OH; her step-mother, Leah Parsons of Gallipolis, OH; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Landville Freewill Baptist Church at Landville.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the Landville Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
