James Lee Bias
of Accoville, WV
James Lee Bias, 92, of Accoville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 14, 2021, leaving from his earthly home.
He was born on July 29, 1928, at Accoville, the son of the late Essie Underwood.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Janice Bias; one son, Robert Edward Bias; and one sister, Imagen Newhouse.
James loved going to Wendy’s, riding through Chief Logan State Park, walking, working in his yard, and playing the guitar at his church. He was a member of Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church at Accoville. He gave his life to the Lord on June 8, 1961 and faithfully served the Lord for 60 years.
Those left to cherish his memory are seven kids, Delana Tackett and her husband Lewis, Bill Bias and his wife Elsa, MaeLee Mays and her husband Charles, Kay Bragg and her husband Johnnie, Jimmy Bias, Mary Tackett, and Terry Bias and his wife Cindy. He also leaves behind 17 grandkids; 28 great-grandkids; and one great-great-grandkid. Also surviving James are many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church at Accoville.
The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.
