Agnes Helen Maynor
Of Cooks Addition, WV
Agnes Helen Maynor, 82, of Cooks Addition, went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, February 21, 2021, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center, after an extended illness.
She was born on June 9, 1938, in Wise County, VA, the daughter of the late Clyde and Angeline Stidham Johnson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lawrence Maynor who went to Heaven on August 26, 2020; and three brothers, Ralph Eugene Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, and Robert Lee Johnson.
Agnes was a home maker, a loving wife, and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She enjoyed the outside, growing flowers, going to church, reading her Bible, and helping others. Agnes was a member of the Gilman Bottom House of Prayer for over 25 years. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Angela Paynter of Cooks Addition and Tammy Booth and her husband Jamie of Mineral City; two grand-daughters who were the light of their Mimi’s eyes, Abby Booth and Tyra Booth, both of Mineral City; one brother, John Paul Johnson and his wife Joyce of NC; two sisters, Flossie Accord and her husband Charles of Oceana and Judy Schmidt of Hampton, VA; one sister-in-law, Marion Johnson of TX; and several nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
