Obituary of Melody Willadean Browning Abbott

Melody Willadean Browning Abbott Of Greenvalley, WV Melody Abbott, 47, of Greenvalley, passed away on January 7, 2021, at CAMC-Memorial Division at Charleston after complications of a knee infection. She was born on January 23, 1973, at Man, the daughter of Larry Browning, Sr. of Greenvalley and the late Ernestine “Tiny” Gollihue Browning. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dianna Browning Hager; her brother-in-law, Roy Garbosky, Sr.; her paternal grandparents, Claude and Willa Browning; and her maternal grandparents, P.H. and Mable Gollihue. Melody in her younger years loved to play softball where she made long lasting friendships with her team mates. She spent her life working to provide for her children until she became disabled about eight years ago. Since then, she spent most of her time with her loving husband and grandchildren who were her life. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 19 years, Donald Abbott of Greenvalley; her son, Kenny (Deidra) Milton of Kistler; her daughter, Sara (Justin) Krummen of Accoville; her father, Larry Browning, Sr. of Greenvalley; her sister, Lara Garbosky of Kistler; her brother, Larry “Junior” (April) Browning, Jr. of Cyclone; her grandchildren, Bentley and Kaiden Krummen of Accoville, and Jaxson and Serenity Milton of Kistler; her step-daughter, Aislyn Browning; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Monday from 6-9 p.m. at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. Chet Clay officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
