Obituary of Dorothy Louise Muncy

Dorothy Louise Muncy Of Man, WV Dorothy Louise Muncy, 75, of Man, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 31, 2020, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan, after a short illness. She was born on September 13, 1945, at Barnabus, the daughter of the late Wetzel and Fannie (Slater) Kitchen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband almost 38 years, Roger Dale Muncy who passed away on December 27, 2020; daughter, Sonja Dale Holstein; granddaughter, Jody Nicole Martin; and one brother-in-law, John Whitman. Louise Muncy was a 1964 graduate of Logan High School. She was the owner and operator of Jewelry, Sporting Goods/Pawns Shops of Southern WV. Louise was a wonderful wife who stood beside Roger throughout his illnesses. Devoted to her family, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was always there for all of her children. Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Jennifer Robertson and her husband Steven of Cross Lanes; three sons, Bobby Bruce Johnson of Huntington, Roger Dale Bailey Muncy and his wife Angela of Man, and Michael Muncy of Charleston; six grandchildren, Amanda Dale Holstein, Rachel Nicole Martin, Jenna Newton, Brock David Muncy, Baylee Danielle Muncy, and Peyton Elizabeth Muncy; two great-grandchildren, Keon Gauldman and Kaylee Hayes; one brother, Mark Kitchen and his wife Jackie of Carma, IL; two sisters, Carolyn Bowling and her husband Bill of Jackson, OH and Janice Whitman of Cross Lanes; and several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Mallory Church of God at Mallory. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2021, at the Mallory Church of God with Rev. Ollie Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Pall bearers will be the employees of US Loans, Inc.
