Connie Lynn Lusk
Of Kistler, WV
Connie Lynn Montgomery Lusk, 59, of Kistler, went to be with Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 20, 2020, leaving from CAMC-General Division, after an extended illness.
She was born on July 25, 1961, in Logan County, the daughter of the late Jack Montgomery and the late Lois Faye Bartram Montgomery.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Karen Woods.
Connie was a 1979 graduate of Man High School where she met the love of her life. Connie and Doug were married in 1981. She enjoyed fishing, camping at Greenbrier County, gardening, canning, the outdoors, most animals except crows and feeding the squirrels. She was a Christian and a dedicated, faithful member of Becco United Baptist Church which she loved with all of her heart. Connie was a member of the Becco United Baptist Choir and the Ladies Aid and enjoyed going to church camp. Devoted to her family she showered them with love and adored spending time with her precious grandchildren. Connie was a dedicated Aunt helping to raise many of her nieces and nephews and supporting them in all of their activities whether by attending ball games or buying and selling their class fund raisers.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 39 years, Doug Lusk; one son, Matthew Douglas Lusk and his wife Stephanie of Stowe; one daughter, Cindy Hawkins and her husband Rev. Jason of Robinette; five grandchildren, Lacey Lusk and Wade Lusk and Kassidy Hawkins, Elijah Hawkins, and Connie’s namesake, Lillian Lynn Hawkins; one brother, Rick Montgomery and his wife Donna of Robinette; a step-mother, Jaddie Montgomery of Lorado; a very special sister-in-law who was like a sister, Janet Lusk and her husband Aubrey of Kistler; her beloved mother-in-law, Faye Lusk of Kistler; her extended family, James and Clara Lusk, Wannie and Medeta Lusk, and Larry Woods; Connies family of Freemont, OH; many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly along with a host of other relatives, church family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the Becco United Baptist Church at Becco and one hour prior to funeral services at the church also.
The funeral will begin at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at the Becco United Baptist Church with Rev. P.J. Tomblin officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
The family would like to thank Chris Tipton at Lincoln Primary Care and CAMC-General Division MICU staff and especially Bridgett Hansford for the care and compassion given to Connie.
