Juanita D. Harvey
Of Kistler, WV
Juanita D. Harvey, 79, of Kistler, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 2, 2020, leaving from her residence, surrounded by her loving family with her little fur baby Coco by her side, after a long illness.
She was born on February 2, 1941, at Greenville, the daughter of the late Keith Gordon and Stella Jane Gollie Dotson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Lee Ellis.
Juanita was a 1959 graduate of Man High School. After graduation, she married the love of her life Norman Harvey. Juanita worked for WV Supermarket, as an executive assistant for F & G Enterprises at the Midway Mall at Rita, as a dry goods clerk at Amherst Coal Company, and finally retired from the Buffalo Creek Public Service District as a payroll clerk and secretary after 23 years.
She was saved and baptized in 1985 and faithfully served the Lord for 39 years. Juanita was a long time member of Accoville United Methodist Church where she was the church treasurer for over 15 years, was a member of the Ladies Aide, and sang in the choir. While her husband, Rev. Norman Harvey, was the Pastor of Accoville United Methodist Church she was dedicated to helping him with his church ministry.
Juanita was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed and was very talented at cooking, baking, crocheting, and singing. The passion of her personal life was loving and caring for her family especially her grandchildren and Coco.

Norman Harvey; one daughter, Sharon Vigo and her husband Dr. Tomas Vigo of Tornado; one son, Norman Harvey II and his wife Paula of Kistler; six grandchildren, Gary Alan Harvey, Paul David Cantrell, Sarah Lynne Harvey, Ariana Vigo, Juliana Vigo, and Loren Vigo; great-grandchildren, Khepri Davis, Bentley Cantrell, Brantley Cantrell, and Shayanna Cantrell; and several aunts and cousins along with a host of other relatives and friends.
