Obituary of Patricia G. Doczi

Patricia “Patty” G. Doczi Of Lorado, WV Patricia “Patty” Gaye (Lusk) Doczi, 77, of Lorado, was called home peacefully to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ on June 10, 2020 leaving from her earthly home while surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 5, 1942, at Lorado, a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Lillian “Christine” (Napier) Lusk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joseph “Joe” D. Doczi; three brothers-in-law, Andy Doczi Jr., James “Jimmy” Doczi, and John Doczi. Patty was a graduate of East Orange High School, relocating to New Jersey after marrying the love of her life, Joe Doczi. They resided in New Jersey for many years together. She worked for Greater American Insurance Company in New Jersey. After relocating back to West Virginia to be with their family, Patty became an admissions clerk for Man Appalachian Regional Hospital where she worked for many years. Patty served the Lord for 41 years, after becoming a born again Christian in March of 1979. The work she was most proud of and dedicated to was traveling and singing with the Bethel Singers for over 30 years. Patty told many stories about her trips with the group and how she dearly loved each member. She also taught Sunday school classes for 30 years to teens that she referred to as her “very own”. Patty was a faithful member of Bethel Tabernacle where she served as the Church Treasurer and the Sunday School Treasurer for 38 years. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Patty enjoyed spending time and laughing with her family and church family. She cherished spending time with those she called her “little rays of sunshine”, Olivia and Kendal Lusk and Keegan Justice. There were many things that Patty thoroughly enjoyed, and even shared with others; singing, going to church, and spending time with those she loved. Friends and family always recall that she made the best fried chicken, potato salad, pineapple upside-down cakes, and the greatest banana pudding. Those left to cherish her memory and tell her best stories are her loving daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jerry Clark of Charleston; two precious granddaughters, Brittany Lusk and her children, Olivia and Kendal Lusk and Morgan and Jason Justice and their son, Keegan Justice along with a host of other relatives, church family and friends. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing. II Timothy 4:7-8 The family would like to thank Dignity Hospice, Linda Traylor, and Jaclyn Bailey, Lincoln Primary Care, Chris Tipton and Sheila Justice for the love, compassion, and excellent care that was shown to our family. A private service for immediate family will be held with Rev. Earl Robinson officiating. Patty will lovingly be laid to rest beside her husband Joe at Highland Memory Gardens. Pall bearers will be Kendal Lusk, Jason Justice, Chris Stone, Jason Doczi, Freddie Osborne, and James Doczi. Honorary pall bearers will be Jerry Clark, Freddy Frye, George Doczi, and David Doczi.
