Obituary of Charles Ray Duncan

Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charles Ray Duncan, Jr. Lillington, NC Charles Ray “Bimbo” Duncan Jr., 62, of Lillington, NC, formerly of Lundale, WV, joined his parents & brothers on January 6, 2020, leaving from his home in Lillington, NC while home on the couch watching TV. Bimbo was born on April 2, 1957, in Madison, WV, to the late Charles Ray “Corky” Duncan, Sr. and the late Betty Louise Craddock Duncan Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his awesome brothers, Ricky Gene “Poodle” Duncan and Randy Lee “Hanky” Duncan who were waiting on Bimbo so they could cut up as normal. Bimbo was a 1975 graduate of Man High School. He was a coal miner for 11 years until he and his wife Kathy decided it was time to move to NC to make it easier to raise their 3 children. Bimbo was a great husband, loving father and a loving grandpa. He loved buying old cars and motorcycles and fixing them up the way he remembered things being back in the good old days. There were 3 things of Bimbo’s that you shouldn’t mess with: his family, his money, and his motorcycles. He was a very caring man, made friends with anyone (even liked you more if you liked old cars) and would give you the shirt off of his back to help you. Bimbo was a meat and potato kind of guy; he really didn’t care too much for sweets except for Kathy’s homemade fudge. Bimbo is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Kathy Lee Duncan; his children, Stephanie Dawn Duncan of Spring Lake, NC, Crystal Duncan Gaster & her husband Jacob Gaster of Sanford, NC, and Ricky Dale Duncan of Lillington, NC who will carry on the tradition of watching all of the Barrett Jackson car auctions. Also Bimbo is survived by his beautiful granddaughter, Jasmine Ashlee King of Spring Lake, NC and his handsome grandson, Ricky Dale Duncan Jr. of Lillington, NC. He leaves behind his siblings Donna Bryant and her husband Cliff of Lake, WV, Shelley Tart and her husband Tim of Spring Lake, NC, Dee Dee Crowder and her husband Timmy of Lorado, WV, Randy and his wife Kelly of Lorado, WV and Connie Adkins and her husband Steve of Cyclone, WV. Bimbo also left behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and possibly a few enemies from his wild teenage days, and one exceptional nephew, Randy Kyle Duncan. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man, WV. A Going Home Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Duncan Family Cemetery at Lake, WV. Pallbearers will be Timothy Phipps, Chris Jude, Randy Kyle Duncan, Justin Earnest, Dale Adkins II, and Dakota Maynard.
