Arlena McCoy Gamble
Of
Sarah Arlena McCoy Gamble of Hensley Heights, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 5, 2019, leaving from her earthly home, after a wonderful life of 89 years.
She was born on February 6, 1930, at Becco, the daughter of the late Joe and Millie (
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Gamble; one sister, Magdalene Dunn; and three brothers, Amizah McCoy, Joe Bud McCoy, and V.J. Lunsford Morgan; and her mother-in-law, Ethel “Ma” Gamble.
Arlena was a Christian and a faithful member of the Man Church of God until she became unable to walk. Devoted to her family, Arlena was the mother of five children whom she knew and loved individually. As her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her one great-great-grandchild came along her heart swelled with more love for each of them. Arlena enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, taking trips to FL, music, all church activities, and anything to do with her family. Arlena had a wonderful sense of humor, a kind heart, a love for God’s people and the ability to share the gospel wherever she went.
Those left to cherish her memory are five children, Dennis (Chloe) Gamble of NM, Sherman “Butch” (Mary) Gamble of Kistler, Judy (Harold) Harris of Combs Addition, Sheila Gamble of Landville, and Paula (Glenn) Adkins of South Man; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
