Conard Earl Midkiff
Of Davin, WV
Conard Earl Midkiff, 76, of Davin, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, from his residence after a short battle with cancer.
He was born on March 1, 1937 at Branchland, a son of the late Imojean Albright.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one son, Eddie Midkiff.
Conard was a retired coal miner who retired from Pittston Coal Company, after 44 years of service. He was a member and served as a deacon at the Lyburn Freewill Baptist Church. Conard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many who loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 56 years, Naomi Foxx Midkiff of Davin; one daughter, Chrystal (Scott) Meredith of North Olmsted, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Teri Spolarich Midkiff of Cyclone; three grandsons, Todd Midkiff of the US Air Force, Kyle Midkiff of Huntington, and Joshua Hastings of North Olmsted, Ohio; sister, Patricia (Danny) Mitchell of Wytheville, VA; brother, John Booth of Chicago, IL; special uncle, who was also his pastor, Rev. Linzel Walls; many nieces and nephews; special friend and caretaker, Joyce Perry of Lyburn; and his church family, who will miss him deeply; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. Jody Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
