Lynn Clay of Gilman Bottom, WV
Edith Lynn Clay, 64, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 15, 2017, leaving from Pikeville Medical Center at Pikeville, KY, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on March 29, 1952, at Man, a daughter of the late Wanice "Jud" and Myrtle Napier Walls.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Wayne Norman Walls, Wandell Walls, Johnny Paul Walls, Donald Calvin Walls, and Ronnie Walls; one sister, Ida Frye; and her sister-in-law, Janie Grimmett.
Lynn was a retired nurse. A devoted Christian, she was a member of the Greenbranch Freewill Baptist Church at Man. Lynn enjoyed reading and working in her yard. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Lynn will be deeply missed by her family.
Suvivors include her husband of 49 years, Billy Clay; two sons, Billy (Lynn) Clay II of Man and Terry Clay of Davin; three grandchildren, Natasha (O'Brian) Copley and Caleb Gilco, both of Gilman Bottom, and Alexis Daniels of Boone County; two great-grandchildren, Kevin Copley and Elijah Copley; two sisters, Nilene (Odell) Ramey of Wayne and Celia Martin of Wichita Falls, TX; her brother-in-law, Troy Grimmett of Bruno; a special friend, Rhonda Wilson; many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2017, at the Greenbranch Freewill Baptist Church at Man with Rev. Michael Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Greenbranch Freewill Baptist Church and one hour prior to services at the church also.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
