Coleman Alderson Wells
of Lyburn, WV
Coleman Alderson Wells, 66, of Lyburn, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 23, 2016, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
He was born on March 14, 1950, at Lyburn, a son of the late Marion William and Florence Jane Chapman Wells.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Merion Eldon Wells; seven brothers, Lester, Wilson, Ted, James, Buster, Johnny, and Dennis Wells; four sisters, Mae Blair, Marie Chambers, Brenda White, and Sharon Wells.
Coleman was employed with Pepsi Bottling Company for 17 years. He attended the Lyburn Freewill Baptist Church. A outdoorsman, Colman enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time in the mountains. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Sharon Grace Wells; two children, Paul "P.A." Wells and Jennifer (Rick) Samson, both of Lyburn; six grandchildren, Eldon, Karen and Erine Wells and Ricky M., Katelyn, and Skylar Matthews; one sister, Delsie (Lanny) Maynard of Earling; three brothers, Alonzo "Bill" Wells of McConnell, Donald Wells of Lyburn, and Stanley Wells of Earling; and his extended family, Crystal Dunn of Proctor Bottom and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on 1 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2016, at the Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church at Rita with Rev. Jody Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Thompson Cemetery at McConnell.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church and one hour prior to services at the church also.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
