Obituary of Jerry Wayman Brown

Jerry Wayman Brown, 70, of Man went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 9, 2016, at Hubbard House in Charleston.
He was born on July 27, 1946, the son of the late Wayman and Ester Brown. Also preceding him in death was his special childhood friend, Fred Evans.
Jerry was a 1964 graduate of Man High School. He attended Concord College. Jerry loved traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He worked for several years at Ashland Finance and Kentucky Finance. Jerry retired from American General Finance in April of 2012. He attended Gilman Bottom Church.
He is survived by Uncle Hubert (Earlene) Adkins of Barrett; Uncle Bernard (Joyce) Adkins of Charleston; Aunt Frances (Jerry) Warner of Dayton, OH; and Michael Adkins. Plus all who Jerry loved and who loved him as well.
Jerry is also survived by his special neighbors, George and Doris Browning who Jerry loved like his own family. His closest friend, Eve Browning, who he loved to work beside and travel with, and friends, Barbara Perry, Brenda and Ham Workman, and Don and Linda Johnson.
He was especially blessed with wonderful care from Denise at Brookdale Charleston Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016, at Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. Mansfield Dameron officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
